    ILO/UNICEF to release report assessing levels of social protection for children



    GENEVA (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) and UNICEF will publish a report on Wednesday 1 March 2023, assessing the levels of social protection for children worldwide.

    More than a billion reasons: The urgent need to build universal social protection for children, outlines the devastating impact of a lack of social protection on child poverty, health, education, nutrition, child marriage and child labour.

    It also examines how children have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the global cost-of-living crisis, conflict and displacement, and climate change.

    The report, press release and associated materials will be under STRICT EMBARGO until Wednesday 1 March at 15:00 CET (14:00 GMT).
