    During the day, you can borrow sheet music for free. In the evening, four times a year, the scores come to life during musical meetings bringing together all audiences.

    Musical program

    October 19, 2023 at 7 p.m. | Musical walk: from Hotteterre to Piazzolla DuOpia.
    For the first meeting of the season, embark on a journey through the centuries on modern instruments from baroque music to Piazzolla’s tango with the duo DuOpia. Coline Barbaray and Eric Meier bring to light the ornamental riches of the Baroque on the traverso and the theorbo (Hotteterre, Weiss).

    November 23, 2023 at 7 p.m. | Reading and music: What will happen tomorrow?
    Fanny Briand and Philippe Constantin establish a dialogue through the letters they wrote to each other during a few winter months. The reading is punctuated by musical interludes performed by cellist Franceso Bartoletti.

    March 21, 2024 at 7 p.m. | Concert: Espuma Antigua
    Espuma Antigua is a musical fresco, a marriage between baroque tradition and today’s eclecticism. With Flora Ageron on vocals, Erwan Valazza on electric guitar and Beatriz Raimundo on cello.

    June 22, 2024 | Music festival at La Musicale
    Like every year, La Musicale opens its doors for the music festival. Concert program to be discovered in June 2024 on the Geneva Library website.

    Choice of works and music press

    Located in the Grütli House of Arts, The Musical has a remarkable collection of sheet music for all audiences. It is one of the four sites of the Geneva Library.

    Dictionaries, encyclopedias, guides, catalogs, bibliographies and music directories provide the choice of reference works on music to consult on site. Reviews and magazines cover all musical genres, with a few specifically Genevan titles. The library subscribes to around fifty periodicals.
