Exceptional lecture by Boris Cyrulnik on resilience | City of Geneva

The second edition of “A city in transition” will take place Thursday November 9, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at Uni Mail. As part of this evening, the City of Geneva has the honor of welcoming Boris Cyrulnik, neuropsychiatristauthor of books for the general public and director of teaching at the University of Toulon.
Boris Cyrulnik popularized at the end of the 90s, thanks to his numerous writings and numerous media interventions the concept of resilience which refers to a person’s ability to cope, adapt and recover in the face of difficult situations, after trauma or in adversity. Boris Cyrulnik’s words inspire those who are interested in the torments of the human soul and highlight the capacity of individuals to overcome difficulties and to thrive in difficult contexts.

The conference given by Boris Cyrulnik is a valuable opportunity for the general Geneva public to learn more about this concept. Committed speech, sharing of experiences and support in individual and collective journeys from Mr. Cyrulnik are always appreciated and welcome.

A unique opportunity to hear this outstanding speaker in a context marked by the violence which is at the heart of his latest book, “Forty thieves in emotional deprivation. Animal fights and human wars” (ed. Odile Jacob).

Participation is free but requires a prior registration from communicationd5@ville-ge.ch.
