Geneva, an international city par excellence, has all the necessary assets to magnify the 2025 edition of Eurovision: an ideal infrastructure for an event of this scale (Palexpo), a rail network and an international airport serving hundreds of destinations throughout the world. Europe in the immediate vicinity, a diversified and high-quality hotel capacity, solid infrastructure and an efficient public transport system.
Geneva is also the headquarters of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2025, which further reinforces the symbolism of this candidacy. Geneva is also a very active city of culture with extensive recognized experience in hosting major international events. It thus offers a privileged and ideal setting for hosting Eurovision, in particular through the emblematic places that it can make available for the ancillary events which punctuate the competition for nearly a fortnight (Rade, Plaine de Plainpalais, Parc Bastions, Motive Forces Building, etc.).

The Mayor of the City of Geneva, Christina Kitsos, believes that “the enthusiasm and political support expressed for hosting Eurovision, coupled with Geneva’s experience in organizing major events and international meetings, speaks volumes in favor of Geneva’s candidacy.
The cantonal and municipal executives are also committed to securing 30 million francs for the organization of this event, from which significant economic benefits are expected.
