    The Plainpalais skatepark for girls | City of Geneva

    On the program, a contesta jam as well as a workshop graffiti.

    Girls are in the spotlight, but boys are also welcome. Come, one and all!

    “Bad Witches Skateday”, this is the name of this day dedicated to women’s skateboarding. It was chosen by a collective of young girls who participated in the development of the program in collaboration with the Youth service of the City of Geneva and associations active in this discipline.

    In the program

    This edition is rich in events:

    • From 12 p.m.: registration for the contest opens;
    • 1 p.m.: Jam, DJ set and chill space, graffiti workshop;
    • 2 p.m.: qualifications for girls under 12;
    • 2:30 p.m.: qualifications for girls over 12;
    • 3 p.m.: qualifications for boys under 16;
    • 3:30 p.m.: qualifications for boys over 16;
    • 4 p.m.: girls contest;
    • 5 p.m.: boys contest;
    • 6 p.m.: awards ceremony.

    The skatepark will be decorated with chalk paint sprays. The logo of the girls’ collective will be drawn in purple, the symbolic color of the Feminist Strike. L’graffiti workshop is intended to repaint the interior doors of the skatepark hut.

    Promote the presence of girls in urban sports

    This day supports the female practice of skateboarding, now in full progress, and values the presence of girls in the urban sports and public space.
