You can get help on issues related to social insuranceto financial aidAt accommodationor benefit from administrative support. This service is aimed at elderly people living at home, outside intermediate structures or medico-social establishments. Social consultation is free. It can also be delivered to your home if you have difficulty getting around.
Overview of the services offered
Advice on social insurance and rights: personalized information and support on rights relating to AVS, supplementary benefits and health insurance legislation. Support for administrative procedures, including possible appeals.
Financial help and budget advice: support for access to financial aid and tax rebates, requests for individual financial aid or allowances (helpless, assistance contribution and auxiliary means).
Housing supportt: interventions with owners to avoid lease terminations, support in finding accommodation and in preparing files for medical-social establishments (EMS).
In addition to these services, you will also find on site a assistance to complete tax returns or advice on drafting advance directives.

As part of its Long Life Policy, the Department of Social Cohesion and Solidarity undertakes to ensure the well-being and quality of life of its residents by offering them specific assistance on a daily basis. In 2023, 1,800 people living in the City of Geneva were able to benefit from the Senior Social Consultation.
