“Baby in mind” exhibition | City of Geneva

The traveling exhibition, produced by the Lausanne UNIL-CHUV Perinatal Research Group, offers a tour through 5 rooms. It presents different issues of transition to parenthood.

Interactive installations, testimonials and scientific research encourage the public to question the different stages of the transition to parenthood, from the desire to have a child, to the balance once the baby has arrived.

    Thinking beyond ideals

Becoming a parent comes with a series of idealized visions regarding pregnancy, childbirth or the arrival of a newborn in daily life.

The exhibition highlights the diversity of experiences and the different family models. Reality does not always correspond to the clichés conveyed by society. The issue of mental health, the notion of balance within the couple, the family and professional life are addressed.

    Complete program

In addition to the exhibition, a rich program, developed in collaboration with the University of Geneva and various associative and institutional partners, is offered until November 17: round tables, workshops for future parents, discussion groups as well as activities for families.

    Information and program

After Lausanne and Winterthur, Geneva has the chance to host the bilingual French-German exhibition.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.and the Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.. Entrance is free.
