Awarded by the City and Canton of Geneva since 1997, the 3 Töpffer prizes reward both internationally recognized artists and young authors still studying.
Grand Prix
Endowed with 10,000.- francs, this reward highlights the entire work of an artist French-speaking comic strip for its remarkable reach in the current comics landscape, mainly in Geneva.
The 2024 Grand Prix is awarded to Winshluss for his protean work. An angry artist, as he defines himself, who uses writing as an outlet. And brings back to us in a striking way the contradictions, even the darkness of our world.
Geneva Prize
Endowed with 10,000.- francs, this prize rewards the best album produced by a Genevan.
The 3 nominees are:
• Alex Baladi with “A changing world”
• Ibn Al Rabin with “On the ductility of the sbrinz”
• Juliette Mancini with “Hate of hair”
Well-known personalities, recognized artists who master their art and have the common point of enriching the catalog of Geneva editions.
Young Comics Prize
Endowed with an amount of 5,000.- francs, it distinguishes an emerging author aged 15 to 30 who has not yet published. Are named:
• Stanyslas Leray with “The Gorse Gwerz”
• Fanny Rose with “They say it’s a free stamen”
• Jano with “The Dragon”
Each person reflects the major societal issues that this young generation faces, and the challenges that they know how to meet with talent.
