    Screens: let’s talk about it! | City of Geneva

    The omnipresence of screens challenges us all, both in our personal uses and in our professional practices.

    The campaign Let’s talk about screens! launched by the Department of Social Cohesion and Solidarity of the City of Geneva, in partnership with the Action Innocence Foundation addresses issues such as managing screen use and supporting children and youth professionals.

    The campaign shows its desire toaccompany without demonizingofinformto open the debate and feed the thinking without feeling guilty.

    She intends to address the question ofuse of screenss from early childhood to adulthood, outside of school time.

    In order to reach toddlers, children, adolescents and the adults around them, this approach involves within the City of Geneva:

    Multilingual prevention materials

    The Screens campaign, let’s talk about it! will extend over two years and be deployed for professionals as well as the general public and population groups often far from institutions.

    It is based on the prevention equipment developed by Action Innocence, translated into 12 languages and adapted in French easy to read and understand (FALC). The Foundation will also provide training for cultural mediators.

    Events for every audience

    The campaign starts with a symposium for children and youth professionals, followed by two general public days intended for families and entirely free.

    An approach as close as possible to practices

    From the launch of the project, the DCSS and Action Innocence anchored their approach as close as possible to the digital practices of children and adolescents. With this in mind, the High School of Education of the Canton of Vaud and Medialab of UNIGE were mandated to collect the words of children and young people through focus groups.
