On the occasion of Centenary of the Geneva Declarationthe French-speaking Children’s Conference is reinventing itself, in collaboration with the Am Stram Gram Theater and the City of Geneva.
This event, initiated by the Swiss Council for Youth Activities (CSAJ) and Land of Men Switzerlandprovides space for children to discuss their rights and benefit from a relay with the political authorities.
Following a 3-day camp, children from different French-speaking cantons, aged between 10 and 12 years old and elected by their peers to assume the role of delegate, will present concrete projects to a panel of politicians and experts in the form of a World Café, with the aim ofimprove the implementation of their rights in Switzerland.
New Geneva Declaration rewritten by children
Based on a new Declaration of Geneva rewritten by children, in Switzerland and internationally, these projects will come to life on the large stage of the Am Stram Gram Theater, with the support of actors and directors. . The Conference will take place within the framework of the Agora, allowing children’s rights to come alive through workshops, games, discussions and exchanges bringing together all ages and all generations.
In addition to the conference, many activities are proposed.
THE Saturday November 23the show “Je suis là” will be presented at 5:30 p.m. at the Am Stram Gram theater. During this performance, young people and children question the way in which we see them, listen to them, and treat them on a daily basis.
