The Bastions ice rink
Skaters, beginners or experienced, will be happy to find the beautiful sliding surface set up in the Parc des Bastions during the winter.
This 400 m2 mobile seasonal ice rink offers everyone the opportunity to practice a local outdoor sporting activity, in a magnificent setting, next to the Reformation monument. And this until March 2, 2025.
The inauguration of the ice rink takes place on Thursday November 28 at 4:30 p.m.. On this occasion, a snack prepared by the Plainpalais neighborhood center will be offered to the children and a figure skating demonstration will be carried out by junior members of the Geneva Skaters Club. A great opening for the season!
Schedules
From November 16the ice rink is accessible from Tuesday to Sunday, according to the following times:
- Tuesday to Friday: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.;
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
- Sunday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Prices
Use of the ice rink is free and skates can be rented on site, for the sum of Fr. 2.-. In addition, walkers are made available free of charge to children as well as hesitant skaters.
An opportunity for internships and small jobs for young people
The operation of the Patinoire des Bastions, which is managed by the Youth servicewith the collaboration of Sports departmentcontributes to the socio-professional integration of several young people, supervised by the association BaB-VIAwho thus benefit from internships and small jobs.
The Charmilles ice rink
The Charmilles ice rink offers a demarcated space for roller skating and outdoor games. And this until March 1, 2025.
Refreshing the surface guarantees the practice of rollerblading and outdoor games in optimal conditions. The ice rink is closed in case of rain.

The ice rink is accessible from Tuesday to Saturday, according to the following times:
- Tuesday to Friday: 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.;
- Saturday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
