Töpffer Grand Prix 2024
Self-taught artist and touches everything, Winshluss is distinguished for his body of work, which includes works as striking as “Pinocchio” (Fauve d’or of the Angoulême festival 2009), rereading with cyberpunk accents of the tale of Carlo Collodi, or the animated film “Persepolis” (jury prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival), co-directed with Marjane Satrapi. Winshluss also received the Golden Nugget from the Montreuil Children’s Book Fair in 2016, for “In the dark and mysterious forest”an album which has just been adapted for cinema.

The jury awarded the Töpffer Geneva Prize to Juliette Mancini. The French designer, established in Geneva, is distinguished for her album “Hate of hair”published by Cambourakis editions. The jury notes its excellent use of comic book languageboth experimental and relevant, to evoke a subject which is not superficial, since it touches a subject both intimate and publichaving implications for the condition of women and the perception of femininity. A educational booke, interesting and avant-gardewhose screenplay was co-written with Alexia Chandon-Piazza and Sara Piazza, both clinical psychologists.
The Töpffer Prize for Young Comics
This distinction goes to Fanny Rose, 23 years oldwho completed his training at the Superior School of Comics and Illustration (ESBDI) of the CFP Arts in Geneva. In addition to comics and illustration, she practices painting and ceramics. She is distinguished for her work “They say it’s a free stamen”halfway between the graphic novel and the collection of poetry. According to the jury, Fanny Rose has created a hybrid work in its relationship between text and image, which gives rise to true graphic poetry. The story, which touches on the theme of forgiveness and resilience, is particularly moving and shares with the reader, page after page, a inner quest carried by a real quality of writing and artistic research full of delicacy.
