Every month, a free visit for all ages from 12 invites you to discover Voltaire and delicacies. Places are limited and registration is compulsory.
Voltaire, artisan of the Enlightenment
Friday, September 1 at 12:15 p.m.-1:15 p.m. | It was at the age of 61 that Voltaire landed in Geneva, investing the Villa des Délices from 1755 to 1760. He produced many renowned works there, including Candide. This visit offers a discovery of the life of the philosopher of the Enlightenment, with an emphasis on his stay in the City of Calvin.

Voltaire and the Encyclopedia
Friday, October 6 at 12:15-1:15 p.m. | In the middle of the 18th century, Diderot and D’Alembert undertook the greatest editorial project of the time: “the reasoned Encyclopedia of arts, crafts and sciences”. Voltaire contributed to it, not without clashes… The opportunity to come back to this monumental project and the impact of the sulphurous philosopher.

Registration for the next visits will open in the fall of 2023, starting with “These women who guided Voltaire” in early December.
Les Délices also welcomes you to measure. If a visit by registration is full or no date is suitable, contact @E-mail to organize your visit.
The house opens its doors to you on Monday, Thursday and Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. We simply ask you to compose a group of 5 to 25 people.
Les Délices offers a cultural program in parallel with the visits, punctuated in particular by the cycle of discussions Encounters of Delightsbetween January and June 2024.
