The Immeuble Clarté is the only building that bears witness to the ties between Le Corbusier and Geneva. Despite being inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and cited as a key example of modernist architectureit is still relatively unknown among the residents of Geneva.
The innovative nature of the Clarté building makes it a firm favorite with photographers. Now archived by Geneva Library, their pictures retraces the visual history of the building, from its original design in the 1930s to the renovations of the 1970s and again in 2010, as well as the changes observed in the Villereuse neighborhood.
A rich program of visits accompanies the exhibition
The program includes guided tours of the exhibition at the Library, on-site visits to the Clarté building et un visit to the visual archives of the Iconography Center.
