    At Cité Seniors

    Discover, by category, the major events of Senior City to meet, learn and have fun:

    • conferences and debates on current issues;
    • health promotion through courses, workshops, conferences or discussion groups;
    • courses and training in various fields, including computer science;
    • exchanges and meetingsthrough languages, culture or even play;
    • Cité Seniors Sundays: in movement and music;
    • exhibitions, visits and outings to explore Geneva.

    Also not to be missed are the theater and writing classes directed by the actors and directors Julie Cloux And Matteo Zimmermann. These workshops are part of the Arts and Health project for seniors in collaboration with the Saint-Gervais Theaterthere City of Carouge and Cité Seniors.

    The theme memory and art will serve as a common thread for the program. Several specific events will be dedicated to it, including conferences, debates, concerts, participatory workshops and activities such as singing, theater and dance.

    A rich program also in the neighborhoods

    Activities are also offered in the neighborhoods for those who prefer to stay close to home. The program “Activities near you” offers numerous appointments such as:

    • Literary stroll entitled “The Song of the Sirens”, departing from Île Rousseau, Wednesday September 18 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.;
    • Course entitled “Fall without hurting yourself”which will take place on Wednesdays, September 11 and October 2, and Fridays, October 18, November 15 and December 13, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., respectively at the Place des Grottes and in the Eaux-Vives, Le 99, Jonction and Soubeyran;
    • Film conference on Armeniaevent which will be held on Wednesday, October 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Espace de district Champel;
    • Cinema screening “Birds big and small”a film by Pier Paolo Pasolini, Wednesday November 20 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Espace de Quartier Saint-Jean;
    • Smartphone photography lessons to learn street photography on Thursdays October 3, 10, 17, 31 and November 7, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Grottes neighborhood space.
