An ever-changing heritage: 1883-1993-2023
In 1883, the museum opened the doors of its very first hall to the public. Thirty years ago – on 16 September 1993 – the museum re-opened its doors following major renovation work and in 2023the new themed rooms now provide surprising narratives focusing on our collections while new indoor facilities will lend a contemporary flavor to this stunning setting while showcasing its exceptional architecture.
