Birds of prey will be swooping into the city center in November! | City of Geneva

From 1 to 18 November, Geneva Avenue – in partnership with the Unireso fare association – is organizing a fun operation entitled “The Eagle Hunt” intended to support local businesses and encourage the use of public transport. Local residents are invited to visit the participating businesses to collect virtual eagles (QR code) for a chance of winning a prize.

Birds of prey shows in public areas

Knowing that happening and convivial public areas contribute to business activity, the City of Geneva was keen to become involved in this operation by organizing birds of prey shows in public areas. White-tailed eagles, caracaras, buzzards and owls will take flight under the watchful eyes of the falconers of the Aigles du Léman.

Through these shows, the public will also have the opportunity to become more aware of the importance of protecting these birds of prey.

Tea falconers of the Eagles of Lake Genevawho work every day to protect these species and ensure animal welfare, will be on hand to answer any questions the public might have. Photo sessions with the birds will be organized after the show.
