    You live in Junction district? Are you curious to discover your neighborhood from a new perspective? The local social branch Plainpalais Jonction/Acacias invites you to find yourself among locals over tea or coffee.

    During these friendly moments, a neighborhood partner (an institution, an association or even a trader) is invited to present its activity. You will have the opportunity to discover the history of Geneva public transportto visit the public Libraryofcommunicate with the municipal police or learn more about animals or plants with specialists in Museum of Ethnography which is located in the Jonction district.

    As part of the local social policy implemented by the Department of Social Cohesion and Solidarity, these neighborhood cafés are a valuable opportunity to get to know new activities, people, and build new connections in your neighborhood.

    Overview of the themes offered

    A diversity of themes is offered to you Tuesdays or Wednesdays linked to the Jonction district. Everyone will be able to choose from their subjects according to their interest or curiosity.

    • Tuesday October 10 at 2:30 p.m.: animals and us at Café Gallay – 42, boulevard de Saint-Georges. In collaboration with the Museum of Ethnography;
    • Wednesday October 18 at 3 p.m.: the adventure of public transport, Café de la Radio – 73, boulevard Carl-Vogt. In collaboration with the Geneva Association of the Tramways Museum (AGMT) and Geneva public transport (TPG);
    • Tuesday November 14 at 2:30 p.m.: history of chocolate at Café Gallay – 42, boulevard de Saint-Georges. In collaboration with the Sican chocolate factory;
    • Wednesday November 22 at 3 p.m.: plants and us at the Café de la Radio – 73, boulevard Carl-Vogt. In collaboration with the Museum of Ethnography;
    • Tuesday December 12 at 2:30 p.m.: discovery of the municipal library at Café Gallay – 42, boulevard de Saint-Georges. In collaboration with the Junction municipal library;
    • Wednesday December 20 at 3 p.m.: meeting with the police at the Café de la Radio – 73, boulevard Carl-Vogt. In collaboration with the cantonal and municipal police.
