    Summer event 2024: the organizers have been chosen by the City of Geneva | City of Geneva

    The project selected is that of a multidisciplinary team people who know the Geneva cultural scene perfectly and are already active in entertainment, catering and the performing arts. The project leader is Mr. Aymon Choisy, former director of the Moulin à Danse and current manager of the Restaurant de la Plage & Buvette des Eaux-Vives.

    His team is notably made up of producer Frédéric Favre, former president of Bains des Pâquis, programmer of Aubes musicales, curator of the Mapping Festival and member of the organizing committee of the Equinoxe Festival last September, including Alain Roche’s concert on a vertical piano. The authors of the winning project imagined their concept in collaboration with a scenographer, an architect and a musical programming specialistnotably.

    Call for projects

    The choice of the project results from a call for projects launched at the end of last summer. Four files were submitted to the City. A jury composed of representatives from the Planning, Civil Engineering and Mobility Service (AGCM), the Agenda 21 Service (A21), the Cultural Service (SEC), the Public Space Service (SEP ), the Schools and Institutions for Children Service (ECO), as well as a representative of the management of the Department of Security and Sports (DSSP) and an independent expert, evaluated the files and carried out the interviews with the candidates.

    The call for projects provided for the organization of the popular and free summer event by a private entity or an association, in partnership with the City. The projects were evaluated based on their suitability for the objective of the specifications and the values ​​supported by the City of Geneva, the originality of the concept, the collaboration with local producers, the experience of the candidates and also the solidity financial concepts.

    The winning project won the support of the jury thanks to the clarity of its concept, the quality of its animation proposals, its efforts aimed at highlighting Geneva, the willingness to work with local partners and also for its professional and diverse team. The Administrative Council therefore validated the jury’s choice.

    Several scenes at the water’s edge

    The name and final program of the event will be revealed in a few months. At this stage, we can say that there will be several stages at the water’s edge, on both banks, with concerts, stages with dance, theater, family entertainment and a wide range of refreshments and catering spaces. Access to various events and concerts will be free.
