Wooden school pavilions | City of Geneva

On the roof of the Allières school, these are six additional classes who welcomed the students at the end of August.

In Trembley, 12 premises for teaching and extracurricular activities and a refectory were made available near the school buildings, making it possible to welcome new students from the neighborhood and maintain good teaching and extracurricular reception conditions.

    Prefabricated wooden pavilions

Prefabricated in the workshop, these lightweight constructions, entirely made of wood, offer qualitative response to the lack of premises and a significant time saving compared to the construction of a traditional school. In order to best respond to climate challenges, the flat roofs of each pavilion are green and equipped with photovoltaic solar panels.

    Next steps

Similar installations are being installed on two other sites, namely the Vieusseux school and the Franchises school. These various operations highlight the commitment of the City of Geneva to cope with the increase in school and extracurricular numbers.
